Description
Rivet nuts put a strong, reusable thread into material too thin to tap — sheet metal, box section, panels, plastic. Drill a hole, set the nut with this tool, and you can bolt into it again and again. This kit covers 7 thread sizes, metric and SAE, with mandrels and starter nuts for each.

Rivet nuts are Q235 steel with zinc plating, sorted into labeled cases by size. Everything — tool, 7 mandrel sets, 70 nuts, user manual — packs into a molded carrying case (16.9" × 9.8" × 3.5", 8.4 lbs total).

Three steps per thread
Drill the hole, spin a rivet nut onto the matching mandrel, insert and squeeze the handles — the nut collapses behind the material and locks in place. Swapping between the 7 sizes is a matter of changing the mandrel and nosepiece.
- Thread the rivet nut fully onto the mandrel before setting — a half-threaded nut can strip or set crooked.
- The included rivet nuts are zinc-plated carbon steel — right for indoor and general outdoor use. The tool also sets standard rivnuts from other packs in the same 7 sizes when you need more.
- Squeeze smoothly to the stop rather than jerking the handles — you'll feel the nut seat, and threads stay clean for the bolt.
